The Columbia Memorial Hospital Hospice Service is recruiting patient
care volunteers to provide companionship and respite services for our
patients and families; and administrative volunteers to help with
clerical and fundraising projects. CMH Hospice Services provides end of
life care for patients and their families living in Clatsop County.
All volunteers providing services to patients and their families must
complete 25 hours of training. The annual hospice volunteer training
program will begin in late February and conclude by spring vacation in
late March. An application process is required and completed
applications are due by January 31st.
Volunteers providing clerical services and fundraising support will
receive instructions appropriate for each assignment.
Individuals interest in becoming hospice volunteers are requested to
contact Margaret Blake, the hospice volunteer coordinator, at 503-338-6230.
